Audio engineering is the art of recording and reproduction of sound through mechanical and electronic techniques . The ever growing field of audio engineering relies on the student learning a range of different disciplines .
These include Basic Electronics, Signal Flow Audio, electrical engineering, acoustics, Computer Design Basics, Understanding Logic Audio and Cubase, Working with ProTools, Basic Web Page Creation, CD-Rom Creation, MP3 Creation, Introduction Video Editing, Audio Electronics , Analog and Digital Editing, Acoustics and Studio Design, Digital Technology and Techniques, Sound Engineering Techniques, Using and Understanding Studio Effects, Advanced Microphone Techniques, MIDI Theory, Audio/Video Synchronisation, Audio Post Techniques and Film Sound, Studio Accounts and Business Management, Marketing and Promotion, Legal Issues and Copyright, Staging and Lighting, Production and Remix Techniques.and music. Unlike acoustical engineering, audio engineering usually does not deal with acoustical design or noise control.
Audio engineering programs provide students with multiple skills that are necessary for today’s competent audio engineer. An audio engineer is a graduate with training and experience in the production of sound through mechanical and electronic means. This persons professional title is usually ‘ sound engineer.You will often see Sound Engineer listed in the credits of commercial music recordings, theater productions and movie credits.
Audio engineers are usually familiar with the design, installation, and operation of sound recording and sound broadcasting equipment. In the recording studio environment, the audio engineer is the person editing, mixing , recording and mastering sound by technical and electronic means in order to achieve the artists or producers creative vision. Audio engineers are often involved in dealing with sound for post-production for film, videos, live sound, advertising, multimedia, broadcasting and theater .
Audio engineers will learn to operate sound mixing consoles, signal processors, microphones, tape machines, digital audio workstations, specialized sequencing software and small to large speaker systems

My name is Navid and I’m living in Iran. I studied Electronical Engineering in an undergraduate level. I’m an experimental soundman and I like to study Audio Engineering to complement my work but there is no such field of study in Iran. I would like to know if there is any chance for me to study abroad or not.
